The Mustard Seed Thrift Store

Vision:

To have a community-based thrift store, The Mustard Seed, that will provide continual purpose, connection and volunteer opportunities for residents, while generating sustainable funding for The Legacy Center and reducing local waste through donations.

Slogan:

"The Mustard Seed - where life's riches are cultivated and treasures are the harvest."

(Science has proven that these "life riches" best ensure high levels of mental and physical health: fulfillment/contentment, health, love, knowledge, peace of mind, time, resilience, friendship, freedom, nature's beauty).

Mission:

Where all residents can connect, find purpose and ensure sustainable funding for The Legacy Center, while reducing local waste.

Sustainability:

The Legacy Center will be funded by The Mustard Seed Thrift Store, which will receive donations of unwanted, gently-used items from community members - helping ensure perpetual funding for the Center.

Benefits:

• sustainable funding for The Legacy Center
• local donation site  - ease of discarding unwanted items
• connection opportunities for all residents through shopping, volunteering and donating
• reduces items left at municipal disposal sites
• encourages local recycling
• fosters a perpetual spirit of community stewardship among all residents
• provides hands-on free enterprise opportunities for local school students
• provides a perpetual funding source for our five local volunteer fire departments via weekly, rotating donations of a portion of profits, which also encourages donations of gently-used items
• cements numerous beneficial Divine Principles within the foundation of our region
